As President of Pythian, Keith Millar’s main job is to keep everything in balance for customers, employees, and shareholders. His goal is to optimize the Pythian experience to ensure maximum value.
Employees are especially important to Keith because they are the heart of any world-class organization. Continuous learning, stepping out on the technology edge, making sure they’re ready for customer challenges—Keith is committed to creating the best possible team to get the best possible value out of data for customers.
Keith brings a balance of technology and business experience to the job. With an engineering degree from Queen’s University, Keith takes pride in being a bit of a nerd. He is excited by what’s new in technology, and calls the cloud revolution the most interesting in “our industry in our lifetime.” Establishing Pythian as a true cloud player is a major point-of-pride.
Keith also holds an MBA from the University of British Columbia. He’s experienced nearly every aspect of Pythian since joining in 2009 as Vice President of Sales. He was promoted to Chief Revenue Officer in 2014 and Senior Vice President in 2016, leading Pythian’s services business, including sales, marketing, business development, service delivery, and customer success. He became Pythian’s President in 2019.
In his (so-called) off-time, Keith golfs, drives his daughter and son to sports, and gets away to his cottage. During the winter, his type-A husky dog makes sure that he gets out to enjoy all the snow has to offer.
