Ted Maslach, Pythian’s Managing Director of Sales for the Americas, believes that his success at Pythian comes from leading from the heart. His passion for customers and doing what it takes to make them successful is a reflection of the passion that Pythian’s leadership team demonstrates every day. In fact, the feeling of “heart” is what drew Ted to Pythian 10 years ago.
Since then, Ted’s “customer-first” focus has helped make him and his team highly effective at helping customers achieve and exceed their goals by using data and cloud to solve problems and transform their businesses. Ted’s customer-centred approach shows in his track record. Responsible for successfully bringing Pythian into the U.S. market and winning some of the company’s biggest customers, he has been vital to Pythian’s year-over-year growth, leading to a remarkable 30% year-over-year growth in the early years. Now Ted is looking to establish Pythian as a trusted advisor to more companies outside of Canada and the United States, building on Pythian’s growing footprint in South and Central America.
When Ted isn’t mentoring his sales team to do their best for customers, he can be found on the tennis court or reading the latest business books. He and his wife make their home in Miami where he can more easily jump across the Americas to meet with customers. For Ted, being in front of customers will always be his natural home.
