A Canadian long-term care provider used Internet-of-Things (IoT) sensors and an analytics platform to provide residents with more independent, fulfilled lives. However, platform limitations prevented the organization from scalably extracting, transforming, and analyzing health data to deliver proactive, personalized care.

To overcome these data challenges, Pythian designed and built an affordable, scalable analytics solution using its Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) QuickStart for Google Cloud. This solution allowed the organization to analyze and visualize 10 billion data points and lay the foundation for predictive care leveraging machine learning models.

Overcome vendor limitations and access billions of data points. The health care provider can now transform, analyze, and visualize resident health records in aggregate to visualize trends to improve care and foster independence. 

Access self-serve analytics and insights. The organization's new BigQuery instance enables greater health data availability and transformation. At the same time, its Power BI delivers historical and near-real-time reporting with descriptive visualizations that aid in anticipatory resident care. 

Laid the groundwork for advanced analytics and machine learning. This scalable architecture and enterprise platform approach enables advanced analytics and visualizations and allows leveraging machine learning models to proactively support at-risk residents.
