We use some third party providers that help us manage our business operations. For example, we use Google for email, SnapEngage (connected through the HubSpot platform) to be able to chat live with you when you visit our website, and HubSpot to manage our marketing database, which could contain your personal information if you have provided it to us on our website by registering to, for example, submit an inquiry or download a white paper. We also use HR SaaS vendors, which assist us in our recruitment efforts. If you apply to a job posting with Pythian, your personal information may be shared with vendors such as Lattice, which are designed to manage HR-related applications.  The third parties named above are those that we currently use, and they may or may not be the same in the future. We will use reasonable efforts to update the privacy policy with current examples. Pythian may also share information in a manner consistent with this privacy policy with third parties involved in providing Pythian IT services to the company you work for, as for example subcontractors. When we share your personal information with third parties, we make sure that those third parties have effective controls to protect the privacy of your personal information. Pythian has procedures in place to evaluate those controls and make sure that they are as protective as those offered by Pythian, and we enter into data protection agreements with these third parties, to ensure their processing operations are consistent at all times with the protections of this privacy policy.

We also may share your information with third parties for other purposes:

  • the detection or prevention of fraud;
  • the sale or transfer of Pythian or substantially all of their assets;
  • protecting Pythian property and enforcing Pythian rights under our services agreements;
  • the provision of professional advice Pythian may need from financial, insurance, legal, accounting and other advisors, always under confidentiality terms; and
  • responding to lawful requests, such as to respond to subpoenas, warrants, court orders, or other related legal requests or proceedings.
